
Sigitas Orantas-Sausis studied at the Martinaitis Art School. He has been participating in exhibitions since 2014. By specialty, he is a folk artist, at this time he made paintings. The painter is constantly looking for new themes, shapes and colors in his work. Nature inspires the painter to create. Therefore, the painter’s work is often dominated by flowers and seasonal themes. The world of each painting is connected with the painter himself and his inner world: inner feelings and experiences. The painter’s work is influenced by such artists as Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, Kazys Šimonis and Claude Monet. The work of the painter Sigitas Orantas-Sausius is characterized by a clear composition, decorativeness, various motifs and metaphors are used, and different plots and stories of the creation of the painting prevail. The theme of nature in the painter’s works is revealed through pictorial abstractions. There are many mosaic patterns and mandalas in the painter’s work, so the work of Sigitas Orantas-Sausius often has connections with Eastern aesthetics. The titles of the paintings are extremely poetic, some of them have a connection with nature. Colors such as yellow, green, red, blue are found in the pictures. Rhythmic, geometric shapes are often repeated in the works of the painter Sigitas Orantas-Sausius. The paintings are meditative, causing different emotions to the viewer. The presented paintings were created in 2014-2018.
