Nijolė Ošurkovienė lives and works in Šiauliai. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Šiauliai University. She is a member of the Lithuanian Union of Artists. Art Creator Status granted. Works in the fields of fine textiles, watercolor. Creates wall tapestries, carpets, three-dimensional objects, applications, various experimental works, batik, tapo, draws on silk, works with felting technique. Participates in Šiauliai city, republican and international exhibitions, organized 12 original textile exhibitions, created monumental large-format tapestries in public interiors: Mažeikiai, Tytuvėnai, UžVenti, Šiauliai, Kaunas, Vilnius, Jonišky. The works were purchased by the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania. The artist’s works decorate private interiors: (in Germany, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Norway, Russia and other countries.).

The most important monumental tapestries: “Peace” (300X600), “Šiauliai Youth” (250X400), (awarded with a 1st degree diploma and a prize in the national competition). “Taikiame kosmos” (200X600 awarded with diplomas and prizes), “Seasons” (300X900), “Autumn” (250X300), “Zeimenos žintai” (260X170), “Upelis” (250X180). Currently, the author works with experimental painting, drawing, drawing on silk techniques.
